About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems, real-time applications, microcontroller programming, and industrial automation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in C/C++ programming, firmware development, sensor and actuator control, industrial communication protocols, and wireless technologies. The role involves close collaboration with hardware and software teams in Germany and contributing to the growth of the Bangalore engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers using C/C++.
• Develop software for sensor and actuator control systems and machine interfaces.
• Integrate machine communication protocols, including Industrial Ethernet and wireless Bluetooth technologies.
• Design embedded software architectures for real-time applications.
• Define system specifications, software architecture, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate user and business requirements into user stories and technical acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineering teams in Germany.
• Participate in agile software development activities, including planning, development, testing, and reviews.
• Follow clean architecture and clean code principles.
• Troubleshoot, debug, test, and optimize embedded software.
• Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Contribute to establishing and developing the Bangalore engineering team.
• Build effective collaboration between the Bangalore office and the company's headquarters in Germany.

Required Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ for microcontrollers.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and real-time software development.
• Experience developing firmware for industrial or automation applications.
• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with wireless communication technologies, preferably Bluetooth.
• Experience working with sensors, actuators, and machine interfaces.
• Understanding of software testing, debugging, and validation for embedded systems.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Understanding and practical application of clean code and clean architecture principles.
• Ability to convert requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
