DCS ENGINEER FOR STEEL INDUSTRY - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

• System Design & Configuration: Build, configure, and commission DCS hardware, operator graphics, and control logic (such as PID loops and sequential controls). 

• Programming & Logic Development: Write and update application software using standards like Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Structured Text, and Sequential Flow Charts.

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, network communication issues, and field instrumentation or loop errors. 

• Upgrades & Backups: Execute regular system backups, database management, firmware updates, and platform migration projects.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry safety and cybersecurity standards (e.g., HAZOP, OSHA, ISO). 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Train plant operators, coordinate with maintenance and EHS teams, and document operating procedures.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Platform Proficiency: Experience with major DCS vendor systems (e.g., Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens, ABB).

• Technical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and loop diagrams.
  • Understanding of PLCs, SCADA, HMI design, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, OPC, TCP/IP).

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, calm response during plant emergencies, and clear communication for multi-team coordination.
