Job Description:
A Foreign Logistics Executive manages the cross-border movement of goods, international shipping compliance, and global supply chain operations.

Foreign Logistics Executive / International Logistics Executive
Job Purpose
To oversee import and export processes, coordinate with international freight carriers and customs authorities, and ensure that cross-border shipments are delivered accurately, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with global trade laws.
Key Responsibilities
- International Shipment Coordination: Plan and manage import and export shipments via air, sea, or land freight.
- Customs & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and verify import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Liaise with international freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and port authorities to negotiate rates and resolve transit delays
- Order Tracking & Communication: Monitor shipment milestones in real-time, update internal teams and clients, and manage exceptions or port congestions.
- Cost & Budget Control: Analyze freight costs, review vendor invoices, and implement strategies to reduce international shipping expenses.
- Documentation & Archiving: Maintain accurate digital and physical records of all cross-border transactions for audit and compliance checks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with international trade terms (Incoterms 2020).
- Understanding of customs tariffs, duties, and import/export licensing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and logistics tracking software.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, attention to detail, and cross-cultural communication skills.
