Solar Project Head

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Solar Head to lead and manage solar project execution for both ground-mounted and rooftop solar installations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, project management expertise, team leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in the solar energy industry.

The candidate will be responsible for managing projects from planning and execution through commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, safety compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects.
• Plan project schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and manpower requirements.
• Oversee site surveys, technical assessments, engineering, procurement coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage project teams, site engineers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, electrical safety regulations, and applicable industry requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve project-related issues.
• Monitor project costs, material availability, productivity, and overall operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular site visits and supervise field activities.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and management presentations.
• Support troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and resolution of technical issues.
• Lead and mentor team members to achieve organizational and project objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 8–15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.
• Proven experience in executing and managing ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical installations, and project commissioning.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, execution, and team management.
• Good vendor management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Working Details and Employee Benefits

• Working Days: 5 days per week
• Working Hours: 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM
• Work Location: Shivajinagar, Pune
• Employment Status: Permanent

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on solar industry professional with demonstrated leadership experience, strong project execution capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. The candidate should be comfortable with fieldwork, site coordination, team management, and client interactions.
