Job Description:
Content Development (85%):
- Research and analyse the available product information from requirements, specifications and user stories
- Interview Business Analysts, Product Managers, Developers, QA Analysts, etc. to gather the necessary information
- Develop, publish and maintain defect-free end-user documents corresponding to release timelines.
- Interact with the cross-functional teams and learn the assigned product/application
- Abide by company, department and team policies, procedures and standards, including templates, style guides and processes
- Participate in the review cycles (Self, Peer and Technical) before the client deliverables
- When necessary, identify and remedy the gaps in existing content
Other Activities (15%):
- Attend and participate in team/project related meetings and activities
- Participate in peer review
- Train, mentor and assist junior and/or new team members
- May participate in recruitment process

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
- Reports to Documentation Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
- Receives high-level direction on project assignments
- Prepares own schedule based on business priorities
- Performs most tasks independently
- Output is seldom reviewed for quality
- Errors may cause major rework and/or failure to meet deadline on specific projects. High volume of support calls due to missed or incorrectly documented functionality. Potential loss of customer good will and/or customer downtime.
QUALIFYING JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Writing or a related discipline or equivalent-related job experience
- Impeccable writing skills
- Strong communications skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good organization skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Must be a strong team player
- Preferred
- Knowledge/experience of single-sourcing authoring tools
- Knowledge/experience with Agile methodology
