Job Description:

Role : Application Lead  Role Description : Lead the effort to design, build and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact.  Must have Skills : Cassandra  Good to Have Skills :  Cassandra DB Administration, Cloud Data Migration  Job Requirements : Key Responsibilities : -Well versed with core Cassandra concepts  -Experience of working on Cassandra DB with deep understanding of architecture concepts such as - Cluster Structure, Partitioner, Read/Write Path, Replication, Tunable Consistency, Read Repairs -Experience in data modeling in Cassandra with focus on User Driven Data Modeling UDDM -Experience in data life cycle management in Cassandra -Experience working with high availability and server tuning including parameters, resources, contention, etc  Technical Experience : -Should have minimum 8 years of IT experience and around 5 years of extensive database experience with a good knowledge of database migration  -Experience in optimization techniques such as projections and partitioning  -Experience in Cassandra Data modelling -Involved in Capacity planning, Data modeling, Hardware designing and initial configuration of Apache and DataStax Cassandra clusters in 2-multi data center configuration Proven ability in disciplines of of data warehousing  Professional Attributes : -Should be able to drive the technology design meetings, propose technology design and architecture -Should have excellent client communication skills -Should have good analytical and problem solving skills  Educational Qualification: - Must have: BE/BTech/MCA - Good to have: ME/MTech  Additional Info : -Experience with Backup/Restore and Disaster Recovery, database re-platforming, preferably to Azure
