We have an urgent opening for the position of Plant Manager for a Leading producer of specialty chemicals  for Ambernath location.

Job Summary: 

A chance to work with the Industry's leading producer of specialty chemicals and head their Vapi plant and reporting directly into the MD. The person will be looking after daily operations of the plant from production, manufacturing, maintenance, supply chain and quality, HSE, and Admin functions and will be ensuring that the policies and procedures are followed. The person will drive continuous improvement and process optimization. 

Our Client 

Our client is an Indian company who are leading producer of specialty chemicals with a focus on sodium and potassium alkoxides. They believe in innovation and product development and their R&D facility is certified by the Government of India as well. They have aggressive growth plans for India which will be driven by an aggressive manufacturing strategy. They have two plants in Vapi and Ambernath respectively.  They are looking for Plant Manager based out of their Ambernath Plant. 

Job Description 

Reporting into the managing director and managing a team of head of departments, you will be responsible for: 

• Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed their customer’s expectations. 
• Safety, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Administration and Maintenance at a plant level. 

• Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while cutting unnecessary costs and adhering to quality standards. 
• Developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. 
• Maintaining the administration team and liaison with the external bodies for operational approvals. 
• Owning the P&L of the plant taking responsibility of budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources. 
• Maintaining high safety standards for a hazardous chemical plant. 

• Vendor Management, Supplier management, Contract Negotiations and Customer Expectation management. 

An Ideal Candidate 

An ideal candidate will come with BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Mechanical from a reputed university with core plant operations experience for at least 12-15 years. The person should also come besides strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with staff, clients and vendors. You should have managed plant operations for chemical company. You should have demonstrated excellent track record in your last roles and should be ready for the next challenging role in a growing organization. Candidate preferred from Ambarnath/Badlapur/Kalyan area only. 

• Candidates versed will local language will be preferred. 
• Candidates with Chemical Plant experience only need to apply
