Job Description:
  • Liasoning with International Suppliers and/or their Local Representatives (Indentors) for Import Product Prices on a timely basis, getting updates on new products shipments Status, documents status and any other requirements from time to time.
  • Checking & Confirmation of Import Documents received from Suppliers in accordance with our requirement & Regulatory Norms.
  • Documentation Preparation & Application of Product Import Licenses Application Online for New Product/Renewal of Licenses.
  • Liasoning with Forwarders & Shipping Co., for freight Rates & other Charges, shipment sailing, Vessel Availability etc.,
  • Nominations of Shipments to Forwarders
  • Liasoning with CHA in absence of Superiors for Import Clearance Status. Checking & confirmation of Clearance Documents like Checklists, Final Bill of Entries Etc.,
  • Forwarding of Documents to Clearing for Imports Clearance
  • Developing of Favourable Relations with various Service Vendors like Forwarders, Shipping Companies, Licensing Agents etc.
  • Supervising & checking of Sub-ordinate’s Work like Import Related Entries in ERP, Insurance Coverage & Declarations, Banking Related Liasoning for Import Payments & Import Documents. Charges Negotiations with Forwarders/Shipping co., Import Documents and stepping in wherever required.
  • Evaluation of duties, taxes, freight charges and associated cost of imports and provide inputs to other functions for factoring in overall cost.
  • Prepare import plan in consultation with the Operations Manager, Director to ensure cost effective delivery schedule.
  • Being Upto date with changing regulatory framework.
  • Interface with other departments to resolve issues related to supplies, reconciliation, etc.
  • Analytical Ability & Skilled in MS-Office (Word, Excel). Generation of Reports as & when requested by the Management.
  • Maintenance & Timely Updation of Database.
