SR. CHEMIST QC FOR STEL INDUSTRY - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• A Sr. Chemist QC (Quality Control) analyzes raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using advanced techniques (HPLC, GC) to ensure quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance (GMP, ISO), requiring strong analytical skills, documentation, equipment management, and leadership to mentor junior staff and resolve complex quality issues. Key duties involve developing SOPs, investigating deviations, validating methods, and collaborating cross-functionally to release safe, high-quality products. 
   
  Key Responsibilities
  • Testing & Analysis: Perform chemical & instrumental analysis (HPLC, GC, KF) on raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and cleaning samples.
  • Method Validation & Development: Develop, validate, and implement QC testing methods and procedures.
  • Documentation: Prepare & review batch records, test reports, SOPs, and maintain accurate laboratory data.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to industry standards (GMP, ISO) and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate Out-Of-Specification (OOS) results, deviations, and quality complaints, recommending corrective actions.
  • Equipment Management: Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to junior chemists and lab personnel.
  • Collaboration: Work with Production, R&D, and QA teams to resolve issues and improve processes. 
   
  Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry or related field (often with advanced degrees preferred).
  • Experience: Several years in QC/QA, with practical experience in analytical techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytical instrumentation, wet chemistry, data interpretation, and computer software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills; high attention to detail.
