Job Description:

• Responsible for procurement & planning of entire Direct Material required for the Operations.
• Responsible for procurement of entire Consumable items, Maintenance Spares, Mechanical & Electrical Items, Tooling’s, Stationery, Packing items required for Organization.
• Responsible for Setting up the weekly, monthly, quarterly procurement plan.
• Development of alternative local sources for imported raw materials which help in cost saving

• Planning and budgeting of purchase functions, involving cost estimation, contract negotiations.

• Managing the existing supplier/vendor network & the supply chain for various items for timely distribution of supplies in line with committed delivery schedule.
• Developing reports on procurement and usage of material for top management.
• Effective management of vendor database.

• ABC classification of vendors on the basis of criteria like cost, quality, timely delivery etc.
• Development of new vendors.

• Conducting training for vendors to educate them about company’s requirements and help them in improving their performance.
• Implementing systems to avoid situations like over-stocking or out-of-stock which cause production and financial losses.
• Identify and qualify potential new vendors or suppliers in order to secure more cost-effective sources of products and services.
• Liaise with suppliers or vendors for smooth flow of the essentials without any time delays.
