Job Description:
An Industrial Products Wholesaler Sales Manager drives B2B revenue by developing sales strategies, leading a team, managing key accounts, analyzing market trends, and ensuring customer satisfaction, often with technical expertise in industrial equipment/materials, focusing on expanding market share for complex products like machinery, components, or chemicals through strategic partnerships and sales execution. Key duties include hitting targets, forecasting, training staff, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with operations/marketing to meet business goals. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement sales plans, analyze market trends, identify new opportunities, and achieve sales targets.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team, conducting performance reviews and offering incentives.
  • Client & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industrial clients, distributors, and stakeholders; resolve complex issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply deep understanding of industrial products (machinery, components, MRO) to recommend solutions and drive technical sales.
  • Operations & Reporting: Prepare sales forecasts, analyze data, report to management, and coordinate with logistics/marketing for seamless delivery.
  • Market Presence: Attend trade shows, network, and travel to expand market reach and secure new business. 
 
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • B2B Sales Acumen: Proven experience in selling complex industrial goods or capital equipment.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to lead, persuade, negotiate, and communicate across all levels.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret sales data and develop effective strategies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with specific sectors (e.g., processing, energy, manufacturing) is often required.
  • Education: Often a Bachelor's in Engineering or Sales/Marketing, with relevant experience.
