SHIFT INCHARGE SID FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

The Shift Incharge – SID Electrical is responsible for overseeing the electrical operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of all electrical systems. The role involves supervising teams, monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage electrical operations during the shift in the SID (Substation / Industrial Distribution) environment.

• Ensure proper functioning of power distribution systems, transformers, switchgears, and related electrical equipment.

• Monitor system loads, alarms, and operational parameters to prevent breakdowns or failures.

• Lead a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Conduct preventive maintenance and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.

• Maintain accurate shift logs, reports, and documentation for management review.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime.

• Coordinate with other departments for seamless operational continuity.

• Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Proven experience in electrical operations, preferably in industrial or substation environments.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and safety regulations.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Work Environment:

• Rotational shift work in an industrial/substation setting.

• Exposure to high-voltage electrical equipment.
