QA Software Tester - Ahmedabad/Mumbai

Job Description:

We have an urgent opening for the position of QA Software Tester for a leading Company for the Ahmedabad/Mumbai location.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing user stories/ use cases/requirements to generate test cases and test scripts.
• Design and develop automation scripts
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects. Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Carry out functional testing, performance testing, and scalability testing.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Analyze test results and track software testing metrics. Prepare and present test reports.
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the system, discover issues, and deliver better value to the customer
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance

Requirements:

• 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Experience in Preparation, execution & review of test cases.
• Comfortable with Manual Testing / Automation Tools. Knowledge of test management software (e.g. Selenium, Jmeter, Appium SoapUI, Maven, Zephyr) and MySQL.
• Attention to detail, analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of at least one programming/ scripting language. Should have experience in moving manual testing process to automation
• An ideal candidate would be able to quickly understand requirements & independently work on it & have the ability to communicate effectively to identify, troubleshoot, and document issues.
• Having expertise in Testing of Web applications, APIs, and mobile apps using Manual & automated Testing procedures.
• Knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
• Skilled in Functional, Integration, Regression, and Stress testing.
• Used JIRA or equivalent tools as defect tracking tools.
• Experience in working with open-source tools for API, security, and load will be a plus.
• S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• Knowledge and experience adhering to software development life cycle best practices including test-driven development (TDD), unit testing discipline, agile development, and CI/CD strategies.
• A track record of forging strong relationships and building trusted partnerships through open dialogue and continuous delivery
• Domain expertise in the BFSI domain (more specifically Supply Chain Financing, dynamic discounting) is a plus
• Willing to embrace work outside of your comfort zone, and open to guidance from others; you make mistakes, but learn from them.
• Keen to learn about new technologies and business innovations across the industry

• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills 

Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field required
2. Post Graduate in Computer Science or any related field would be a plus
