MANAGER - QUALITY (FABRICATION)

Job Description:

A) Responsibility
1) Incoming Raw Material,
Incoming Components,
Vendor supplied machined parts and Heat-Treated parts,
Establishing required quality at vendors’ works.
2) In-house –
machined components
Heat Treated components
Welded sub assemblies
Final Assembly of the products
Testing of Finished Goods
Packaging
3) Should be able to manage the team of 5 engineers, which includes, assigning job
responsibilities – work station- wise and shift-wise, monitoring and controlling the same,
delivering the expected result as a team.
Preparing quality plans for
i) incoming material as per drawings / Order,
ii) in process components - during cutting, machining.
Maintain records of first piece inspection, in process inspection, incoming inspection etc.
4) Systematic Analysis of the rejection/ Rework disposition within 7 days
5) Support the Management in selecting the team members and strengthening the
6) Train the team to minimizing internal as well as Customer rejection.
7) Certifying the Finished products as per customer requirement, with proper
documentation like Pre-Despatch Check list - - before release for despatch
8) Regular reporting to the management about rejection levels, reasons for rejection, CAPA
9) Participation in Internal ISO 9001:2015 audits
10) Handling of T P I – preparation of QAP to attending the TPI inspection till receipt of
Release Note.
11) Monitoring Calibration activity of the inspection fixtures and instruments.
12) Carry out Gauge planning for the new components
B) Knowledge – required
1) MPI, Ultrasonicinspection methods.
2) Handling of Air Gauges, bore gauges, micro-meters, Hardness testing machines, Co –
ordinate measuring machines.
3) Welding defects
4) Qualification criterion for the welders
B) Qualification– Graduate or Diploma inMechanical Engineering with 8 to 10 years of experience
in similar field, Computer Friendly.
C) Age– around 35 Years
D) Languages - familiar with – Hindi, English.
E) Salary Range – (60000 – 70000)
