Job Description:

📌 Job Role: MANAGER - MIS – Logistics Company

🏢 Department: MIS / Operations

📍 Industry: Logistics / Supply Chain


🎯 Main Objective:

To manage, analyze, and report logistics data for better tracking of shipments, vehicle usage, manpower, delivery performance, and overall supply chain efficiency.


📋 Key Responsibilities:

1. Logistics Data Management

  • Daily data entry of shipments, loading/unloading status, vehicle movement.

  • Maintain vehicle-wise and client-wise transport records.

  • Update trip sheet details, fuel usage, driver records.

2. Report Preparation

  • Prepare Daily Dispatch Reports (DDR), In/Out reports.

  • Weekly & Monthly reports: Route performance, vehicle utilization, delay analysis.

  • Create MIS dashboards for operations team & management.

3. Coordination with Operation Team

  • Collect data from field staff, drivers, transport managers.

  • Coordinate with warehouse/logistics team for delivery updates.

4. Excel & Software Handling

  • Use MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, IF, Charts) to create reports.

  • Operate logistics ERP or transport management software (if used).

5. Vehicle & Trip Tracking Support

  • Maintain GPS tracking logs, fuel consumption sheets.

  • Track real-time delivery and inform delays to concerned teams.

6. Client & Vendor MIS

  • Generate client-wise service reports.

  • Maintain vendor performance & billing-related data.

7. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain POD (Proof of Delivery) reports.

  • Ensure compliance reporting related to transport norms.


🧠 Key Skills Required:

  • Advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, Charts, Conditional Formatting)

  • Google Sheets (optional)

  • Logistics or Supply Chain knowledge

  • Report writing and data interpretation

  • Coordination and communication skills
