CIVIL ENGINEER FOR STEEL INDUSTRY - AUTOCAD & BILLING - RAIPUR . CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

A Civil Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, executing, and supervising infrastructure and construction projects. This includes roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and other public and private works. The role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and plan civil engineering projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.

• Prepare detailed project drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and timelines.

• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety standards, and legal requirements.

• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure structural integrity and quality.

• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.

• Liaise with architects, contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders.

• Manage resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) efficiently.

• Resolve design and development problems on-site or in planning.

• Ensure all materials used and work performed are in accordance with specifications and safety regulations.

• Compile and present reports on project status, budgets, and compliance.

• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor.

• Stay updated on latest industry trends, building codes, and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred or as per local regulations).

• 2–5 years of experience in civil/construction projects (entry-level or mid-level roles).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, or similar civil engineering software.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Project management and scheduling (Primavera, MS Project, etc.)

• Quality control and safety management

• Budgeting and cost estimation

• GIS knowledge (Geographic Information Systems)

• Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability (LEED, IGBC)
