Job Description:

Our organization has been around for about 7 years and we are at a point where we have hit escape velocity and need to scale rapidly. This role is ideal for someone who has 7 to 10 years work experience working for strong leaders and organizations that have rapidly scaled and are ready to take the charge themselves. 

The current HR Team consists of a senior recruiter focused on product engineering roles, an HR Generalist, a Learning & Development Coach, and you!  Given that we are scaling fast, we are looking for someone who has strong recruitment experience for competitive profiles.

Given that we are a remote first company, employee onboarding and engagement are extremely critical as well. We strongly believe that an atmosphere of play and joy and a well rested team creates high-functioning teams rather than a nose-to-the-grindstone culture. We are looking to invest in platforms such as Lattice.com to develop high performing teams. Down the road, we would expect to hire a mid-career professional to come in and manage the employee engagement and experience.

Thing you will tackle along with your team

  • (10%) HR Strategy
    • Understanding the overall business strategy and building the HR Strategy in accordance to that
    • Consulting with Business Unit General Managers & Department Managers and helping to ensure we have the right talent that is motivated, aligned and well rested. 
    • Prepare budgets, conduct HR team evaluations, and strategic and operational roadmaps
  • (40%) Recruiting for Senior & Mission Critical Roles
    • You will be directly responsible for closing important roles along with your team members and recruitment consultants that we bring on board
    • This will involve you to actively plugging into your own network, sourcing, interviewing, negotiating, and selling the candidate on the role
  • (30%) Employee Engagement & Performance Management
    • Continue existing initiatives in collaboration with other HR Team members and managers
    • Introduce a Performance & Engagement software such as Lattice.com to scale and track performance management and engagement tools
    • Work with the Learning & Development Coach to build learning plans for employees leveraging UDemy Business and other tools
    • Ensure that people remain engaged while remote and that we are fostering connections and cohesiveness with the team
  • (20%) Compliance, Administrative, & Ad-Hoc
    • Work with the Outsourced Payroll Provider and Accounting Team to ensure we are meeting our legal and compliance requirements
    • Onboard & offboard people from IT Systems
