Role

As the Risk Management Manager , your mission is to

strengthen our risk management framework to safeguard the company against potential risks.

You will play a key role in ensuring the stability and profitability of our operations by emerging risks, monitoring the implementation of mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of risk awareness.

Acting as the second line of defense, your expertise and

commitment will be crucial in maintaining a robust internal control framework and the confidence of our stakeholders,

enabling us to continue providing effective solutions that support the overall success and growth of business.

Responsibilities

Risk Identification, Assessment and Monitoring:

Identify the risks and evaluate the level of the inherent risks and the effectiveness of risk mitigations

Review the Key Risk Indicators with business to ensure timely risk mitigation is put in place

Stay current with evolving with company's developments, industry and regulatory changes to support risk identification on key risks and

emerging risks to allow effective analysis, prioritization and communication.

 

 

Risk management

Contribute to draft the risk management policies and other mitigation techniques, as and when required.

Carry out second level controls on policies, procedures, systems and processes

Perform incident and loss reporting and risk mapping to assess local entities risk profile

 

 

Follow up the implementation of action plans & recommendations

within the established time-frame.

 

 

Risk Reporting

Maintain an active reporting line on risk updates to Regional Head of Risk Management,

Report to local Management, related Committees, and governance bodies where necessary

Escalate to management on breaches and significant weaknesses on a timely manner

 

 

Risk Culture, Governance, Advice and liaison

Develop/ lead/participate to a network of risk correspondents through ad-hoc tools to gather risk information and enable sharing best practices on actions carried out, deployment timetables, and return on experience.

Act as an internal subject matter expert and develop capability to provide the management and departments assistance on any

related risk management issues, as required.

Maintain a fluid collaboration with other corporate insight functions to mutualize critical information on emerging risks, potential accumulations, interactions and implement consistent and effective approaches to risk governance and control based activities.

Foster a culture of risk awareness and assist in risk training and workshops for the Business

Maintain, and update the risk management and governance frameworks and ensure company policies remain up to date, relevant and aligned with latest Regulatory and Group

requirements.

 

 

Crisis management

Contribute to the definition, implementation and communication concerning disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Ensure contingency plans are in place and reviewed on a regular basis.

 

 

Project management:

Lead/participate in a project team (planning, fieldwork and

reporting phases) related to risk management and/or control based activities, if required.

 

 

Regulatory Governance

Ensure compliance with the Group Risk Rules and Charter as well as with risk regulations laid down by external bodies.

 

 

Other responsibilities:

Geographical scope: India, Thailand & Vietnam. Support to Risk Management at Asia Pacific level.

Skill Sets

 

 

Functional:

Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management principles, Control risk management information systems

Knowledge of Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

Knowledge of statistical tools, data modelling, mathematical, financial technical analysis

 

 

Knowledge of insurance regulations (or equivalent)

Knowledge and understanding of internal control framework and three lines of defense model

Knowledge of business processes walkthroughs; risks and key controls identification

Specific regulations/standards: Knowledge of ISO 27000 is a plus

 

 

Technical:

Intermediate competency level in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Hands-on experience in various applications including GRC tools

Education

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Studies

or equivalent.
