Job Description:

• A Senior Chemist or Chemist conducts experiments, analyzes chemical compounds, and develops new products or processes to improve quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining lab equipment, documenting and interpreting results, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and collaborating with teams to solve problems and achieve project goals. While a standard Chemist focuses on these core tasks, a Senior Chemist takes on advanced research, product development, technical leadership, and supervision of junior staff.  

   

  Key Responsibilities

  • Research & Development: 

    Design and conduct complex experiments to develop new chemical compounds, materials, and processes. 

     
  • Chemical Analysis: 

    Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on various substances using advanced equipment and techniques like spectroscopy and chromatography. 

     
  • Quality Assurance & Control: 

    Ensure that raw materials, products, and processes meet strict safety and quality standards. 

     
  • Data Interpretation & Reporting: 

    Analyze experimental data, draw meaningful conclusions, and prepare detailed technical reports and presentations. 

     
  • Lab Operations: 

    Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. 

     
  • Collaboration: 

    Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers and scientists, to integrate chemical processes into product development and resolve production issues. 

     

  Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: 

    Strong knowledge of chemistry principles, advanced analytical techniques, and laboratory instrumentation. 

     
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: 

    Ability to design experiments, interpret data, and develop solutions to complex scientific and technical challenges. 

     
  • Attention to Detail: 

    Crucial for accurate experimentation, data analysis, and maintaining precise records. 

     
  • Communication Skills: 

    Necessary for presenting findings, collaborating with teams, and training junior staff. 

     
  • Experience: 

    Experience in conducting research, developing analytical methods, and managing lab projects is essential.
