Functional Test Lead

Job Description:

• Understand the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints in web and mobile developments.
• Identify the scope of testing required for a project and develop estimate, test plans and implement them.
• Review Test artefacts. Test case, Test scripts and improve test coverage and quality.
• Guide the team and Identify the training needs and plan for training, knowledge transfer session
• Test and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem.
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build new tools and scripts for performing testing/validation function.
• Participate in troubleshooting issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Develop automation strategy, framework catering different project requirements and improve efficiency.
• Motivate the team members by instilling leadership in them and provide guidance to junior resources as and when needed and help them to grow.
• To participate in functional as well as technical discussions with the client and team.
• To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
• To create work plans monitor and track the work schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards.
• To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
