Job Description:
We are Looking for an Experienced Safety Officer for Reputed Steel Industries at Bhilai Location.
Create and Implement safety Policies in accordance with latest legislation and Proper ensuring its implementation. Conduct risk assessment and take Preventive measures. Involves in safety committee and ensure Proper fire & Safety training of Personnel . Prepares report on occurrences and Provide Statistical data to AuthoritiesRecord keeping and report preparation. Record keeping and report preparation.To advice & assist the factory management in the fulfillment of its obligations statutory, concerning prevention of personal injury & maintaining a safe working environment. These duties shall include the following namely:-To train & advise the concerned dept in planning and organizing measures necessary of the effective control of personal injuries.To advise on safety aspects in all jobs studies and to carry out detail job safety duties.To check and evaluate the effectiveness of action taken or proposed to taken to prevent personal injuries.To advise the purchasing and stores departments in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipments.To advise on matters related to carrying out plant safety inspections/Walk through audits/Good house keeping.HAZOP training to be carried out for all units and team from each would be identified.Degree/ Diploma- Industrial Safety/Industrial Environmental

Company Profile
The company is in midst of implementing a 0.42 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA) integrated steel plant to produce steel. Steel thus produced will consume 0.315 Million Tonne Sponge Iron from the proposed unit and 0.03 Million Tonne from the existing unit. Thus consuming the entire quantity of high grade sponge iron produced in its own manufacturing facilities. When iron is smelted from its ore by commercial processes, it contains more carbon, phosphorus, sulphar etc. than is desirable. To produce high quality steel, the elements must be brought to the within the desirable limits. The liquid steel is processed through AOD and VOD furnaces to achieve the desirable limits of elements. The liquid is then continuously casted into long slabs or through ingots.
