GENERAL MANAGER - SPONGE IRON

Job Description:

Require immediately for a leading STEEL INDUSTRIES and  a highly reputed Group for General manager (Metallugy/B.sc) for Operation /Sponge Iron Division 100*2, 350*4 tpd  at In charge of Operation Department of SID plant at RAIPUR Location ,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       SPONGE IRON DIVISION:

• Successful operation of , 350 and 500 TPD Kilns.
• Kiln utilization – 99.5%with 98% prime product.
• Use of SOP in the Division.
• Annual Production & Raw material planning as per Management.
• Ensure that the production is cost effective;
• Quality compliance. / Environment & OHS Compliance.
• Inventory control through Controlling Sp. Consumption.
• Continuous improvement in process & overall department performance.
• Monitor the production and Quality as per customer requirement;
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;
• Planning for Environment Aspect & risk.
• Cost control measures.
• Employee involvement in performance improvement.
• Maintaining long Kiln campaign life.
• Independently managing entire operations of Sponge Iron unit with final accountability to achieve production and profitability objectives to generate reasonable value for stakeholders.
• Providing leadership to cross functional teams – production, quality, materials, maintenance, sales, accounts, admin etc- and integrating their efforts to optimize overall operational efficiency.
• Contributing strategic / policy inputs to streamline entire operations of the unit.
• Overseen entire refractory lining work and defined operational parameters to maximize lining life.
• Drawing operational and capital budgets and implementing cost control measures to contain expenditure within defined budgetary limits.

RAW MATERIAL HANDLING DIVISION

• Successfully operation of raw material handling system with heavy

Equipments like Double Roll Coal Crusher, Impacter and Ring granulator.

• Flip Flop type screen in coal and Iron ore circuit
• Wet jig type washery.
• Total 3000 MT of raw material, crushing and handling on daily basis.
• Maintaining SPM in the areas as per recommendation of State Pollution Control Board by using latest Dry Fogging System in the area.                                                                                                                   QUALITY CONTROL: Acquainted with testing of all incoming raw material such as Iron Ore, Dolomite, Coal, Testing of products such as Sponge Iron, Washed Coal, using latest equipments  Leco ,  for fast & accurate testing. Ensuring strict quality control in raw material and products as per BIS specification.
