MECHANICAL PUMP OPERATOR (STEEL MELTING) - RAIPUR

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Mechanical Pump Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical pump systems in a safe and efficient manner. The candidate will ensure the continuous and smooth functioning of pumps used in water supply, industrial operations, and plant utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

🔧 Pump Operation & Monitoring

• Operate various types of pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating, submersible, etc.) as per standard operating procedures.

• Start and stop pumps based on operational requirements.

• Check pressure, flow rate, vibration, and temperature indicators.

🛠️ Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs of pumps and related equipment.

• Identify and report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.

• Replace worn-out parts such as seals, gaskets, and bearings.

📊 Documentation & Safety

• Maintain operational logs of pump activity, parameters, and downtime.

• Follow all safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout procedures.

• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.

Qualification & Experience:

• Educational Qualification: ITI in Fitter / Pump Mechanic / Mechanical Maintenance or related trade.

• Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical systems, piping, valves, and safety protocols.
