ASSISTANT STORE FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, provide product knowledge, resolve complaints, process returns/exchanges.
- Sales & Transactions: Operate cash registers (POS), process payments, handle cash, drive sales.
- Inventory & Stock: Receive, unpack, and verify deliveries; stock shelves; organize backroom; conduct inventory counts.
- Merchandising: Arrange displays, ensure products are well-displayed, maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
- Store Operations: Enforce health/safety procedures, maintain store cleanliness, open/close procedures, potentially manage staff schedules (for assistant managers).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
- Basic math and POS software proficiency.
- Store Assistant (Junior): Focuses on customer assistance, stocking, cleaning, and basic POS tasks.
- Assistant Store Manager: Supports the manager, potentially oversees staff, handles scheduling, performance, and more complex operations.
