Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assistant Engineers work on engineering projects and typically report to the Senior Engineer. They may be employed in civil, chemical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering fields and assist with the design, development, and evaluation of processes and products.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Engineer to join our team. Working as Assistant Engineer your responsibilities include completing all tasks assigned by the Senior Engineer, safely operating equipment and working alongside other engineers in the planning, design, development and evaluation stages of projects. We expect you to be able to diagnose problems and follow instructions in fast-paced environments.

To be successful as an Assistant Engineer, you should be passionate about your engineering discipline and demonstrate strong logical and critical thinking skills. Outstanding candidates are able to keep track of project expenses, write detailed reports, and ensure consistent quality assurance standards.

1.Perform inspection of incoming products, materials or customer items according to job order, such as -measure and record the dimension of components/parts using measuring instruments and analyse the findings for discrepancy; -perform non destructive test or hardness test (if necessary) and analyze findings and raise report where necessary; -take photographs of the components/parts for recording purposes.

2. Perform initial inspection and raise report.

3. Perform in-process inspection according to procedures and customer's specifications. Raise report whenever necessary.

4. Perform final inspection of items including dimensional, NDT and hardness to ensure that all quality requirements or API specifications have been achieved. Analyse result and decide the acceptance level of the final product.

5. Raise non-conformance report and submit to Immediate Supervisor.

6. Interact with customers and attend to their needs.

7. Prepare test procedure whenever needed.

8. Prepare Data Book upon completion of jobs.

9. Perform any other related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor
