Job Title: Deputy Manager II / Manager

Department: Information Technology

Reports to: Assistant Vice President - IT

Experience: 6 to 10 years

Required Qualification: BE/ B Tech/ MCA

Preferred Qualification: BE/ B Tech/ MCA

Skill, Knowledge & Trainings:


 Certifications:
 Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
 Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (ACSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is a plus.
 Familiarity with SAFe or Kanban certifications is advantageous.
 Agile Knowledge:
 In-depth understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile principles, values, and practices.
 Tools Expertise:
 Hands-on experience with Agile tools like Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Rally, or equivalent for backlog management and reporting.
 Technical Knowledge:
 Strong understanding of software development lifecycle. And if related to Java-based technologies, microservices, and cloud architectures is a plus.
 Communication Skills:
 Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with cross- functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience:
 Minimum of 6–10 years in IT projects, with at least 3 years as a Scrum Master in a cross-functional Agile environment.

 Leadership: Ability to lead and coach multiple teams towards project goals with high performance and collaboration.
 Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying impediments and facilitating timely resolutions.
 Facilitation: Adept at conducting Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews,
retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
 Agile Metrics: Proficient in tracking and analyzing metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and team throughput to drive continuous improvement.
 Stakeholder Management: Proficient in managing expectations with product owners, team members, and leadership.
 Risk Management: Ability to foresee and address risks that may impact sprint goals or team performance.

Additional Competencies (Nice to have):


 Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Banking, Capital Markets, clearing and settlement systems, reporting, billing, and accounting processes is highly desirable.
 Conflict Resolution: Strong ability to mediate conflicts and foster a culture of trust and collaboration.
 Dependency Management: Experience in identifying and managing dependencies across multiple teams and external stakeholders.
 Coaching Skills: Proven track record of mentoring teams on Agile best practices, self- organization, and continuous delivery principles.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate would join the IT Department of a critical Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) organization which serves as a Qualified Central Counterparty (QCCP) for Government Securities, Money Market, FX and Derivatives transactions in the Indian financial markets.

The successful candidate would play the role of "Scrum Master" in the "IT Transformation Programme" which envisages a modernization of critical applications so as to align with the target state enterprise architecture, to adopt a contemporary or futuristic technology stack and tools, to improve system scalability, reliability, maintainability, and to reduce the time to market for change requests or new functionality requested by the business departments. The transformation programme is expected to be an evolution of the applications with components of functionality being carved out as per the new architecture and being delivered to production as they are
completed.

The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader, ensuring teams are aligned with business goals, and facilitating smooth collaboration to overcome challenges and deliver value consistently.

Key Responsibility

 Facilitation and Leadership:
o Act as Scrum Master for a multiple feature teams.
o Facilitate all Agile ceremonies to ensure they are time-boxed, productive, and focused on delivering value.
o Promote Agile values and practices while ensuring team adherence to the defined processes.
 Team Support:
o Shield teams from external distractions, enabling focus on sprint goals.
o Assist in building a culture of trust, collaboration, and ownership within and across teams.

 Impediment Management:

o Proactively identify and resolve team impediments.
o Escalate blockers to relevant stakeholders when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.

 Collaboration with Stakeholders:
o Working with Business Analysts, Designers, Developers and Product Owners. And to ensure a well-maintained and prioritized backlog.
o Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders effectively.
o Collaborate with other Scrum Masters/Project Managers to address inter-team dependencies and align on delivery goals.

 Cross-Team Coordination:
o Coordinate with other feature teams to manage dependencies and align sprint deliverables.
o Ensure effective communication across cross-functional teams, including QA, Development, and DevOps.

Area of Operations
Technology Projects working with cross functional teams to achieve project milestones within defined timelines and deliver high quality results.

Any Other Requirement:
 Should be a good team player.
 Would be required to work with multiple projects / teams concurrently
