Graphic Designer Art Work /Pre Press Designer /Designer Packaging & Repro
Job Description:
This role will be part of a team providing mostly print-based artwork and design services. Will be working within a variety of different creative and brand guidelines, producing artwork to the client’s brief and exacting standards. Will take artwork briefs and amendments from the client and therefore the role demands a consistent and accurate approach to layout and design to fulfill the brief within agreed timelines.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
? Undertake artwork to the client’s brief and exacting standards
? Develop an effective working relationship with colleagues and client and provide excellent customer service
? Effectively manage workloads within agreed timescales
? Effectively communicate with clients and teams, ensuring that all involved parties are kept up to date with work progress
? Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency
? Look for ways to develop new design within the guidelines, marketing and production opportunities
? Utilize various portals when seeking client approval, updating client asset libraries, and releasing material to publishers vendors
? Be able to resolve any queries or conflicts in order to achieve a balance between production requirements and service excellence
? Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the design team
? Complete timesheets
Competencies
You must have experience in interpreting and delivering artwork projects, within very tight timeframes.
? Ability to work accurately and provide consistent artwork quality
? Ability to adhere to strict brand guidelines/ and technical specifications
? Experience in management of artwork collateral
? Excellent customer service, teamwork and time management skills - A methodical thinker, with strong organisational and time management skills who is able to remain calm under pressure.
? Resize press and OOH from approved masters for high profile global clients, working across various languages and working to media plan
? Strong skills in typography, layouts & colour management and prepping files for printers
? A understanding and practical skill in creating (sometimes very detailed) charts and diagrams in Adobe Illustrator taking data from other sources like Excel or PPT
? Basic Retouching Skills(i.e replacing packshot labels etc)
? Accurate and consistent completion of timesheets
? Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – principally InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
? HTML e-mails, banners and front-end web design experience is an advantage
