MANAGER HORTICULTURE

Job Description:

Responsible for maintenance of shrub, vine, ground cover and turf maintenance, including decision making on method, timing, and tools.Responsible for culture and care of specialty crops including roses, topiaries, and foliage plants .Responsible for bedding plant selection, care and layout. Performing diagnosis of plant nutrition and pest control needs; fertilization and herbicide.Performing landscape rehabilitation, including demolition and installation.Heavy equipment operation i.e.: JCB front end loader Identifying need for and provide supplemental water with manual operation of automatic irrigation zones and hand watering.Maintaining equipment in proper running order.Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established

• Mow the lawns, prune the bushes and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look
• Operate snow removal equipment during the winter to keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe
• Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by the property manager
• Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for
• Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools
