HR Operations Responsibilities

HR Operations (HR Ops) manages the day-to-day employee lifecycle, HR processes, compliance, systems, and administration within an organization.

1. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Employee onboarding & induction
  • Documentation verification
  • Offer letter, appointment letter, confirmation letters
  • Exit formalities & full and final settlement
  • Experience & relieving letters
  • Employee transfers/promotions records

2. Payroll & Compensation Support

  • Payroll coordination
  • Salary structure management
  • Attendance & leave inputs
  • Incentives, reimbursements, bonuses
  • Statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS)
  • Payroll compliance coordination

3. HRMS & Employee Data Management

  • Maintaining employee database
  • HRIS/HRMS management
  • Updating employee records
  • MIS reports & dashboards
  • Data accuracy and confidentiality

4. Attendance & Leave Management

  • Attendance monitoring
  • Shift scheduling support
  • Leave tracking & approvals
  • Overtime records
  • Holiday calendar management

5. Compliance & Statutory Activities

  • Labour law compliance
  • PF, ESIC, gratuity coordination
  • Shops & Establishment compliance
  • Audit support
  • Maintaining statutory registers

6. Employee Engagement & Support

  • Handling employee queries
  • HR helpdesk support
  • Employee engagement activities
  • Policy communication
  • Grievance coordination

7. Policy & Process Management

  • HR policy implementation
  • SOP creation & process improvement
  • Employee handbook updates
  • Process automation initiatives

8. Performance & Confirmation Support

  • Probation tracking
  • Appraisal cycle coordination

  • Confirmation process management

9. Vendor & Administration Coordination

  • Insurance/vendor coordination
