Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management:

    Maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate terms, review agreements, and resolve any discrepancies in deliveries. 
     
  • Inventory and Stock Control: 
    Assist in monitoring inventory levels and keeping accurate purchasing and inventory records. 
     
  • Coordination: 
    Work with internal departments to understand their needs and coordinate with other team members and suppliers to resolve issues. 
     
  • Administrative Support: 
    Assist the purchasing manager with administrative tasks and maintain organized purchasing records and reports. 
     
  • Market Research: 
    Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and potential suppliers. 
     
  • Compliance: 
    Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures. 
     
Qualifications and skills
  • Education: 
    A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is often preferred. 
     
  • Experience: 
    Previous experience in a purchasing or administrative role is highly beneficial. 
     
  • Technical Skills: 
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle are essential. 
     
  • Communication: 
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal staff. 
     
  • Negotiation: 
    Strong negotiation abilities to secure the best terms and prices. 
     
  • Organizational Skills: 
    Superior organizational, time management, and attention to detail are critical for tracking orders and data. 
     
  • Problem-Solving:
