AM - Corporate Strategy & Planning
Job Description:
Qualifications: Engineering graduate or equivalent, MBA from a reputed institute
Work Experience: Overall work experience of 5-7 years. Minimum work experience of 2-3 years with a reputed corporate or family office investments or a VC firm
Strong financial and business analysis skills as demonstrated by prior experience including financial modelling
Capable of understanding new businesses and should have entrepreneurial flair
Must have experience in evaluating several different start-up or investment opportunities in different sectors as well as experience to execute these investments
Experience of closing at least one or two start-up investments, right from deal evaluation, term sheet, transaction documents (SHA/SSA/SPA etc.) closure to monitoring of the investments in the start-ups
Other requirements
a) Should be able to deliver assignments on time
b) Have the ability to plan, structure and organize their individual work
c) Exceptionally competent in the use of the following desktop applications: Word, Excel with the use of macros, pivot tables etc, Power-point
d) Showcase good analytical and evaluative skills
e) Showcase good verbal, negotiation and written English skills
f) Have superior interpersonal skills
g) Prioritize work load and meet stringent deadlines
h) Good planning and Organizational skills
i) Must be able to provide work and other academic references
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. To assist in analyzing & to provide inputs for current and new business opportunities and plans to determine financial effectiveness
2. To assist in formulating business strategies, streamlining and aligning the business processes
3. Existing Companies & Investments
a) Monitoring Company performance in detail and depth on a monthly basis including existing investments, and developing support strategies as required
b) To study market trends, collect market intelligence data analysis and interpretation of market intelligence data and comparison with current operations
c) To ensure monitoring and analysis of MIS reports of different businesses as per the guidelines and timelines
d) To assist in analysing gross contributions, highlight significant deviations & initiate corrective action
4. Future Investments
a) Evaluate investment opportunities (start-ups or new industry/ sector) by conducting due diligence, business and financial analysis and preparing investment analysis and recommendations report
b) To provide recommendations and facilitate investment decisions
