Job Description:

Position Purpose

New regulations from regulators on IT continuity and also to manage operational work additional resource is required. Also presently one resource is sharing this responsibility and this will be single point of failure.

 

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

 

Information Continuity Officer (ICO) is responsible for resiliency/continuity of critical business functions, services, processes, systems, and infrastructure and their availability to customers, third parties, regulators, and other stakeholders during an unplanned event/disruption, in accordance with agreed-upon and consistent service levels.

 

Develop an effective enterprise Business Continuity Management (BCM) governance framework that is consistent with general regulatory requirements, group requirement and industry best practices/standards.

 

Interacting with global team and implementing BCM as per group policy in accordance with local regulations.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the enterprise-wide business continuity management program.

 

Partner with the BCM Program Management and sector/ region contact points on the communication strategy and materials.

Provide program oversight of the BCM tactical and strategic deliverables ensuring quality, efficiency and accuracy.

Lead and coordinate a wide range of activities at the direction of the global team.

Partnering with the organization BCM leadership team to develop and maintain a calendar of activities.

Identify gaps in performance and associated risks, recommend corrective actions and partner with stakeholders and management to develop Corrective Action Plans.

Review of BCP & DR strategy and BCP & DR testing plans for all critical applications.

Contributing Responsibilities

Collaborate, plan and organize with and through people to gather information from across the organization and external committees to report and make business recommendations

Facilitates a process to ensure that business continuity plans are viable, executable, implemented and tested.

Promotes business continuity awareness and education.

Interact directly with business and technology management teams to understand future business strategies.

Advise the business on strategy, policy requirements and preferred practices.

Ensure timely completion of all policy requirements.

Participate in regular meetings to drive recovery/resiliency strategy.

Ensure recovery plans and all BCM documentation is current and reflects change. Discuss the BCP documentation details with operations and conduct periodic review on their continuity plans.

Support the crisis management team in scheduling conference calls, emergency communications, preparing and distributing status updates, guiding, decision –making, ensuring execution of action items and creating post-incident report.

Technical & Behavioural Competencies

 

 

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Have good understanding in Business Continuity and IT Continuity. Certifications like ISO 22301 LA/ LI, CBCP, CBCI will be preferable

Good team bonding skills

Presentation skills and analytical skills to suggest business continuity solutions.
