Electrical Engineer
Job Description:
The person should be experienced in some or all of the below skills:
• Leading the delivery of a project and making sure it meets our client’s expectation
• Building a strong relationship with our clients. You will be client-facing, responsible for the delivery of our work and making sure it meets our client’s expectations.
• Experience in design and implementation of electrical engineering changes/system upgrades in brown field projects.
• Experience in bidding, bid estimation, resourcing and technical management.
• Preparation of Load list and Single line Diagrams (SLD)
• Preparation of General arrangement drawing/ equipment layout for Substations
• Transformer sizing, cable sizing, breaker sizing, Emergency DG, capacitor bank sizing for MV and LV system
• LV and MV cable routing
• Lightning protection and earthing design
• Lighting calculation, small power design, cable racking, installation details for the Electrical services.
• Experience on system design with Variable Speed Drives • Clash detection and co-ordination with other disciplines
• Experience in preparation of Basis of design/ design report for the projects.
• Understanding of other relevant engineering disciplines.
• Familiar with international design codes and standards of relevance to electrical design.
• Preparation of technical specification for various equipment.
• Experience in Protection and control system
• Detailed knowledge of power equipment such as switchgear, protective relays, breakers, transformers, motors, and generators is required.
• Proven computer aptitude, and expertise in MS office.
• Exposure to field installation, commissioning and testing of design changes.
• Experience in supporting construction and commissioning phases.
• Ability to understand and define client’s requirements, plan and schedule deliverables, timelines.
• Experience or exposure to project management principles desirable.
• Strong delivery culture, ability to multi-task, resource management, delegate tasks, develop and deliver cost/time-effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibility will be to lead project technical delivery for our international clients on refurbishment projects and engineering changes in balance of plant. The role will require advising client on best engineering practices and optimal design solutions. Strong conceptualization ability, strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a must, including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel abroad for short and long term, and work successfully in a customer focused, project-oriented environment. Mandatory Requirements: • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 3 -18 years of relevant industrial experience
• Sound knowledge on software like ETAP, Amtech, Dialux/Relux,
• Familiar with 3D BIM environment
• Good knowledge on BS standards and International standards.
• As per ISO 9001 quality standards carry out the quality work and maintain the documents.
• As per health and safety and environmental requirement carry out the design.
Desirable Requirements:
• Experience of Detail Design / Infrastructure Projects
• Ability to work in Multi-Disciplinary Projects
