Job Description – Production Officer / Production Executive

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work in all three shifts on a rotational basis and take responsibility for achieving production targets while ensuring product quality and safe operations.

  2. Maintain proper housekeeping in the plant and surrounding areas, and effectively allocate and manage casual manpower.

  3. Conduct toolbox talks with production team members and coordinate with support/service departments to promote safety and operational efficiency.

  4. Prepare, issue, and close work permits, ensuring the work area is safe and ready before commencement of any activity.

  5. Review and verify all production documents, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), for accuracy and compliance.

  6. Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

  7. Report incidents, deviations, and equipment failures, and actively participate in investigations and implementation of corrective actions.

  8. Maintain proper handling, storage, and inventory control of drums and process materials.

  9. Coordinate effectively with Maintenance, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Warehouse, Stores, and other Production departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

  10. Possess knowledge of process safety systems and safety equipment, including hard interlock systems, Pressure Safety Valves (PSV), Pressure Relief Valves (PRV), Rupture Discs (RD), flame arrestors, and fire extinguishers.

  11. Safely handle toxic, flammable, and hazardous chemicals such as Liquid Bromine, Toluene, Methylene Dichloride (MDC), Cyclohexane, and other organic solvents.

  12. Supervise and manage manpower across multiple product lines and different manufacturing sections.

  13. Coordinate the issuance and receipt of raw materials from the Warehouse and other Production departments, ensuring storage in designated locations.

  14. Obtain and return Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) through the Quality Assurance (QA) department as per SOP.

  15. Attend all scheduled training programs and ensure compliance with company training requirements.

  16. Prepare daily production reports and maintain basic working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.

  17. Execute production activities according to the approved production plan while meeting quality, safety, and productivity objectives.

  18. Support production planning activities and provide technical troubleshooting to resolve shop-floor operational issues efficiently.
