JOB DESCRIPTION:

Civil Supervisors monitor civil construction projects. They oversee activities such as building bridges, repairing highways and doing construction on airports. While Civil Supervisors may have an office, much of their time is spent on construction sites to make sure all parties involved are performing up to par. They are leaders who have worked their way up to this position from earlier experience in civil engineering and public works.

responsibilities for this position include:

Lead quality non-conformance analysis to the root cause & follow-up for completion with the team

Maintains heightened planning team awareness of industrial and nuclear safety ALARA principles

Manages engineering project teams, including staffing, supervision, performance management, training, and development

Coordinates wastewater and surface water engineering functions and projects with other departments and agencies

Oversees and directs short and long range planning studies on feasibility of proposed wastewater and surface water infrastructure projects

Leads and reviews consultant selection, reviews standard engineering agreements, contract documents and contractor selection

Researches and provides financial strategies, including grants administration, to coordinate, prepare, and submit funding requests

Studying construction and plant site drawings, reporting any construction issues, developing a plan to safely build plate steel structures, also completion of associated works while considering schedules and budgets

Understands contractual obligations

Develop project schedules
