Job Description:

• Database Management and Maintenance: Manage and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) to ensure high performance, availability, and operational excellence.
• Data Integrity and Quality: Implement processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data, performing regular quality checks and resolving discrepancies.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce database security measures and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Backup and Recovery: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including implementing and testing backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, optimize queries for efficient data retrieval, and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with developers, IT personnel, data analysts, and other departments to support data-related needs and integrate data into project workflows.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports, visualizations, and insights from data to communicate findings and support strategic decision-making.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation related to database configurations, processes, data lineage, and guidelines. 

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is typically required; an MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) are often a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in database languages like SQL.
  • Experience with data management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence principles.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R can be beneficial.
