Mould Flow Analyst

Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities

• Design of Plastic & Rubber Injection Molds
• Knowledge in DFMA, GD&T, RPT & FMEA.
• Part Feasibilities report.
• Mold flow Analysis.
• Carryout Moldflow Analysis for various parts & to support the Product and Tooling team
• Part Design optimization to reduce War-page to improve strength & stability during New product development.
• Determine number & location of gates/drops for balanced filling & valve gating time that would place weld lines in acceptable area.
• Evaluate cooling uniformity based on cooling design.
• Individually handling & delivering Moldflow projects in given time line.
• Implementing the scientific molding methods & optimizing the processing parameters for injection molding parts and to give the robustness process & quality parts with an economic cycle time.
• Able to set process parameter in new mould trial by own if requested.
• Suggest faults & remedies for mould design & moldings defects.
• Attending technical spec meeting & preparing part feasibility report.
• Follow 5 ‘S ‘, Kaizen, continuous improvement activity.

Qualifications

• BASIC QUALIFICATION: Post Graduate Diploma in Plastic processing from CIPET
• Must have sound technical knowledge on Plastic & Rubber material processing by injection moulding and injection mould design with detailing in 3D CAD.

Key skill required:

• Good software proficiency in Auto-desk Moldflow & Creo (Pro-E)
• Good communication skills + knowledge of excel, word PPT.
• Good communication and mathematical skills and ability to read drawing, understand
• requirement & able to set process parameter on moulding machine if requested.

Key result area:

• Do Mouldflow analysis for different types of components and provide analysis report which
• should be helpful to get first time right component.
• Able to deliver Mouldflow report within project timeline independently.
• Analysis should be helpful to reduce moulding defects.
• Able to set process parameter is software and moulding machine to achieve right component.
• Able to do mould design & detailing effectively.
