VP / GM PRE FABRICATION PLANT HEAD FOR STEEL INDUSTRY - RAIGARH , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Operations and production: Oversee daily operations, implement production schedules to meet deadlines, and ensure efficient and continuous production.
- Quality and process improvement: Implement and monitor quality control measures to meet standards, identify and resolve defects, and develop continuous improvement strategies.
- Cost management: Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and implement process changes to reduce costs and improve productivity.
- Team leadership: Manage, lead, and motivate plant staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure effective team performance.
- Safety and compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Supply chain and inventory: Manage inventory levels and coordinate supply chain logistics.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or a diploma with significant experience.
- Experience: Extensive experience (typically 8-16 years) in a manufacturing environment, with proven leadership and management experience in a plant setting.
- Technical skills: Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as sheet metal, welding, CNC, or injection molding.
- Management skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Process knowledge: Experience with quality management systems (like ISO 9001) and continuous improvement methodologies (like Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma) is often required.
