Sr. Import Manager
Job Description:
- Negotiate rates with Freight Consolidation Agents to ensure optimum rates on containers being shipped to India
- Coordinate effectively with Precor staff & freight consolidation agents to ensure fault free loading of containers at the ports for shipping to India
- Tracking of shipments from originating port till Mumbai port - verify & validate the invoice, BOL (Bill of Leading), PL (Packing List) against orders placed by TIFC on the principals, liaison with the Principals in case of discrepancies and ensure complete shipment.
- Coordinate and work with CHAs, verify, validate & arrange for payment of customs duty & ensure timely release of equipment and spares from the Port without incurring demurrage & detention.
- Coordinate and work with Manager Logistics & Warehouse to ensure timely and damage free delivery of equipment and spares from Port to Warehouse.
- Coordinate and work with Manager Logistics & Warehouse to ensure timely and damage free delivery of equipment and spares from Port to Warehouse.
- Work as a back up to the Manager Logistics & Warehouse to ensure timely and damage free dispatch and transport of equipment to customers across India.
- Prepare and share relevant updated MIS reports related to imports as well as ensure 100% documentation required
