As a result of ongoing expansion, we are recruiting an embedded software development team leader to join us. They shall work closely with our leadership teams in Pune and in our head office in the UK, and shall be responsible for building and managing our new embedded software development team in Pune.
The team shall be involved in helping to develop the next generation of our robotic and motion control automation products. We develop mainly in C, and target a range of ARM® processors including the latest high performance 64-bit multi-core devices. Our engineers are involved in the full software development life-cycle, including requirement specification, design, implementation, integration and test. They work closely with their hardware engineer colleagues, to design optimum solutions, and ensure rapid firmware integration and successful product delivery.
Applicants Requirements
Applicants must have a good degree in Software/Mathematics/Electronics or a strongly related discipline. They will also be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of programming and software development gained over at least 5 years of experience on embedded or related projects. They must have had experience as a team leader or senior software engineer, and be able to lead and manage the engineers in the team.
Experience with the following will be advantageous :
- C/C++ programming on embedded systems
- Industrial communication protocols, such as ModbusTCP, EtherNet/IP®, PROFINET®, and EtherCAT®.
- linux driver development
- Firmware driver development
- An understanding of digital and analogue electronics, and embedded hardware
- An understanding of Servo and stepper motors
- ARM® processors, both single and multi-core
- GCC and IAR EWARM® compilers; Lauterbach® and J-Link® debuggers
- RTOS's
- Full software lifecycle experience
- Source control tools
- Logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Mathematical algorithm development
A broad personality and ability to communicate effectively in English is required.
