Job Description:

BASIC PURPOSE:

The BI Developer will be responsible and accountable for the development of ETL, reports and related SQL objects required to fulfil the reporting needs. The BI Developer should be familiar with agile processes, data analysis and testing to create defect-free ETL and reports. The BI Developer is expected to work independently on projects with varying complexities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

  • The BI Developer will be responsible for development of enterprise-class BI objects including ETL packages, cubes, reports, stored procedures, views, etc.
  • The BI Developer will be a data expert and able to work with relational and multidimensional database schemas. Should be familiar with MSBI technologies and tools like SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in software development for Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools & Data Warehousing.
  • Excellent knowledge in ETL development using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and RDBMS systems like SQL Servers.
  • Proficient in design and development of Power BI, SSRS reports, stored procedures, views and other database objects
  • Should have knowledge on Tabular Models, OLAP cubes, star and snowflake schemas, multi-dimensional modeling, Transact-SQL.
  • Should have hands on experience in requirements gathering and analysis, designing, coding, testing and deployment.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 

  • Reports to AVP, IT Applications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / related engineering field OR equivalent experience In a related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years’ experience developing reports in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI
  • Experience with building data pipelines
  • Possess the ability to understand business processes and design reports.
  • Certification highly desired
  • Good written, verbal communication skills
  • Great team player
