Job Description:
A HR Head in the steel industry is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's overall business objectives. This role involves managing talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and employee relations. Additionally, the HR Head oversees compliance with labor laws, manages industrial relations, and fosters a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership:Developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's business goals.

Talent Management:Overseeing the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of employees.

Performance Management:Implementing and managing performance appraisal systems, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

Employee Relations:Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.

Compensation and Benefits:Managing compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with regulations.

Training and Development:Identifying training needs, developing and implementing training programs, and facilitating employee development.

Compliance:Ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Industrial Relations:Managing relationships with labor unions, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and resolving disputes.

Organizational Development:Assessing organizational structure, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

HR Budgeting and Reporting:Preparing and managing the HR budget, generating reports, and providing insights to management.

Leadership and Team Management:Providing leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the effective delivery of HR services.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in HR management, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
- Proficiency in HR systems and databases.
- Experience in managing industrial relations and union negotiations is highly desirable.
