Job Description:

Working Pattern - 5 Days a Week

Design Engineer - Core Competencies

• Candidate must be B.E. Mechanical with first class.
• Candidate must have minimum 2 experience on NPD/Reverse Engineering projects, competitor benchmarking.
• Understand & manage the different phases of APQP.
• Experience in Product Design using Creo-6 and above software is mandatory.
• 3D Modelling as per manufacturing means (Solid modelling & Sheetmetal), Family table creation.
• Knowledge of creating Parametric drawings as per 5.
• Prepares detail designs and specifications of assemblies and individual components.
• Working knowledge of PDM (Windchill) is advantage.
• Knowledge of GD&T & Tolerance Stack Up Analysis is mandatory.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, P diagram, VAVE.
• Knowledge of product BOM preparation, ECR/ECN/ECO.
• Knowledge of different Manufacturing process, (like Machining, Cold Forging, Injection Molding, Casting, Stamping), Raw materials, Heat treatments, & Plating’s.
• Experience on Prototypes manufacturing & Product testing.
• Coordinate the manufacturing of prototypes.
• Interfaces with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples/prototypes.
• Works closely with various departments to help create solutions.
• Performs engineering investigations of manufacturing/quality problems.
• Experience on Interface with Customer & Vendors
• Communications with customers, marketing, manufacturing, quality, process, purchasing, and experimental personnel.
• Interfaces with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications.
• Review customer documents for compliance with company documents and if necessary, prepare new designs to conform to these documents.
• Knowledge of different International standards (e.g. AS9100, ASME14.5, ASTM, DIN, ISO, and ANSI etc.) would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic Electrical formulas would be an advantage.
• Excellent English communication skills both verbal & written. Good interpersonal skills, Self-disciplined, Initiative, Committed, with a minimum of supervision.
