Sales Manager – Palletizer (PAN India)
Job Description:
Qualifications: Candidate shall be BE/DME in Mechanical Field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on
information from magazines, business directories, industry ads, trade shows,
Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory to visit existing and prospective
customers to solicit orders or communication with customers by phone or e-
mail
Presents/reviews machine quotation with customer utilizing videos and
PowerPoint presentations highlighting machine features and benefits.
Prepare machines RFQs and quotations
Hosts customers visiting Head office or Factory during pre-sales meetings,
machine build update meetings, and F.A.T.
Update and maintain CRM with sales activities accounts and contacts and
leads
Supports the company’s strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate
goals for new machine sales.
Prepares forecasting activities and monitors individual performance goals
accordingly
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs
Reviews machinery layouts and works with engineering to affect more
efficient space utilization in the customer’s facility
Prepares reports of business transactions and expense accounts
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into
computer database.
Develops and maintains relationships contacts.
Stays current with industry trends and developments to seize new market
opportunities.
Experience in distributor management for Export markets (Africa, SAARC,
South East Asian Markets)
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in BE or MBA required, additional experience preferred
Minimum 7-8 years successful capital equipment sales experience preferably
in the packaging machinery industry for food, beverages, FMCG industry
preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven record of accomplishment as a top performer while selling in a
competitive sales atmosphere.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, presentation, etc. with proven
ability to influence and persuade others to include the ability to effectively
communicate with all levels from the factory operators to Business Owners.
Ability to work under pressure to execute moderate to high capital sales
transactions. Patience, tenacity and professionalism to endure long term,
complex sales cycles
Success with penetrating new markets, establishing new customer contacts
and relationships, and using networking to expand existing customer
relationships
Travel Requirement:
Domestic and limited international travel, 30% of working time
Valid passport or the ability to obtain a passport is required
