Job Title: Operations Manager - Oil Trading

Position Overview:

is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Operations Manager specializing in oil trading to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role, overseeing back-office operations and trade execution for oil trades within the Middle East, India, and Africa. This position requires a strong background in shipping, counterparties management, and a bonus if you bring trade finance expertise. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and the ability to contribute to the organization with their own book of trades.

Key Responsibilities:

● Back Office Operations: Oversee and manage all back-office operations related to oil trading, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of trades.

● Trade Execution: Work closely with the trading team to ensure seamless execution of oil trades into and from the Middle East, India, and Africa.

● Shipping Coordination: Collaborate with shipping partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of oil products, monitoring shipping schedules, and resolving any logistical challenges.

● Counterparty Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in the trading process.

● Trade Finance (Bonus): Utilize trade finance knowledge to optimize financial transactions and mitigate risks associated with oil trading activities.

● Risk Management: Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the company's interests and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

● Book of Trades: Leverage a minimum of 10 years of industry experience to bring a substantial book of trades, contributing to the overall success of the trading desk.

● Reporting: Generate regular reports on trading activities, performance metrics, and other relevant KPIs for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

● Minimum 10 years of Experience: Proven track record in oil trading operations with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

● Shipping and Logistics: Strong understanding of shipping processes and logistics in the context of oil trading.

● Counterparty Relations: Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with counterparties and stakeholders.

● Trade Finance (Bonus): Previous experience in trade finance is a bonus.

● Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues related to trade execution and operations.

● Book of Trades: Demonstrated ability to bring a significant book of trades to the organization.

● Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
