The job of a materials supervisor is to oversee the shipping, receiving, handling, and warehousing of materials. You will supervise the transport of materials and ensure that the material needs of an organization are met.

Hires and trains materials handlers. Oversees the daily workflow and scheduling of the Materials Handling department. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Making sure employees that report to you meet performance expectations.
• Giving instructions or orders to subordinate employees.
• Ensuring that the work environment is safe, secure and healthy.
• Meeting deadlines.
• Approving work hours.
• Ensure great customer service at all levels.
