Job Description:

To lead a team of mechanical engineers and installation supervisors to deliver complete industrial services, general services, facilites scope of the greenfield project inclduing design, installation, testing, commissioning and documentation.
a) Ensure that all assets are well designed (Heat & Mass Balance, Equipment Sizing, PID, plant layout, Equipment specifications etc.) through applying new technologies, proven principles, and thorough design reviews. Design of the utilities considering current & future requirements incorporating latest approved standards and technologies for optmium consumption of Energy, water, and reduced GHG emissions.
b) Develop Equipment and line layouts, write equipment specifications documents, evaluate equipment suppliers and machine designs,validate equipment quotations. Support in developing the investment project charter, gantt chart and ensure that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
c) Lead team of engineers and installation supervisors to design, install and commission new refrigeration plants (Ammonia compressors), HVAC, air compressors, Steam generators, boilers, water treatment plants, RO plants, Effluent treatment plants (ETP/ STP), Power generators, facilities (Laboratories, canteen, etc.) as per agreed deliverables. Propose and control the cost of the project ensure effective adherence of workplace safety protocols and norms by the contractors and engineers.
e) Coordinate environmental compliances, waste management, PCB licences, air water consents filing, etc. with state and central authorities and prepare documentations accordingly.
f) Ensure that the engineering side of the project is implemented (e.g., equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS, and the characteristics of a unit operation.
g) Contribute to and support the preparation and distributing the engineering project documentation, including the engineering part of the project final report and handover documentation. Ensure that the project scope is achieved within the agreed cost and timing. Ensure that the operators, mechanics, electricians etc. are effectively trained and that the transfer of the equipment to the factory is both smooth and efficient.

 

>15 Years of experience in industrial services projects management or operations preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
B.E./ B.Tech in mechanical engineering as minimum qualification.
Knowledge of environmental rules, regulations, factory rules and Legal permits requirements for industrial services operation and project execution (Factory Inspectorate/Fire/ TCP/ boilers etc.)
Good interpersonal skills and oral and written skills along with good working knowledge of project management tools like MS Project, MS Excel, AutoCAD etc.
