Job Description:
Job Title: Manager / Senior Manager

Skill, Knowledge & Trainings:
- Experienced in handling production support of mission critical applications, spanning Level 1 and Level 2 support
- Putting in place processes and tools for troubleshooting of application issues, performing Root Cause Analysis, tracking problem tickets for issue prevention
- Leadership, Team Building and Mentoring skills
- Should possesses good knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Elasticsearch or any other tools
- Good interpersonal, communication and drafting skills
- Knowledge of Client-Server architecture and architecture with middleware messaging technology i.e. TCP/IP, IBM MQ, Open MQ etc.
- Good understanding of Oracle (19C) and MS SQL database in writing queries, understanding PL/SQL, TSQL code and suggesting improvements
Core Competencies:
1. Review and standardization of production support processes using industry standard approaches
2. Team building, mentoring, and knowledge and skills management for Application Production Support
3. Application Performance Monitoring: Uptime, Utilization, Transaction monitoring using Elasticsearch OR any customized tool
4. Technical skills: ASP .NET, C# / Java
5. Database: Oracle, MS SQL
6. OS: Windows 12 / 16, Red-hat Linux
Functional Competencies:
1. Certifications such as ITIL or Prince2 would be an added advantage
2. Work experience in the Banking / Treasury domain or in Stock / Commodity Exchanges
3. Prior experience in Technical Architecture would be an added advantage
Job Purpose:
To setup and manage the production support activities of software applications, including the transition of Production Support responsibilities to new team(s).
Area of Operations Key Responsibility
- Production Support Process Improvement To review and improve the existing production support processes with a view to prevent issues as well as detect issues early.
- Carrying out BOD & EOD operations of assigned applications
- Ensuring successful completion of daily BOD & EOD including checklists of assigned applications
- Daily application monitoring Application availability & performance monitoring of the assigned applications
- To be actively involved in Incident management Will be involved in RCA determination of issues faced in the production environment
- Interpersonal & Communication (Spoken and written) Skills
- Liaison with business teams, application dev teams and Infrastructure teams for resolution of Production Issues.
- Team development and knowledge management
- Develop, track and enhance the knowledge of the production support team. Supervision and shift management.
- Reporting Periodic reporting of production support out comes to the HOD / Top management
- Any Other Requirement: Should be a good team player, ability to shoulder multiple responsibilities concurrently and deliver under short response times.
