Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the food processing plant, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory levels effectively.

Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and consistency.

Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and machinery.
- Introduce new technologies and best practices to enhance production capabilities.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of production professionals.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability within the production department.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to promote skill development and career growth.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards related to food processing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.

Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in a senior-level role within food processing operations.
- In-depth knowledge of food processing technologies, equipment, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the food industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
