Job Description:
- As a Logistics Control Tower Specialist, your primary responsibility is to oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency in the supply chain. You will serve as the central point of contact for monitoring, analyzing, and facilitating logistics activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Utilize logistics management systems to maintain real-time visibility over the entire supply chain.
- Monitor the movement of goods, inventory levels, and transportation activities.
- Act as the central point of contact for logistics stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth coordination and timely resolution of issues.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistics metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Proactively identify and address logistics issues, such as delays, disruptions, or inventory shortages.
- Collaborate with relevant parties to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Optimize the utilization of transportation, warehousing, and distribution resources.
- Make recommendations for improvements in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Familiarity with logistics management software, transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant technologies.
- Stay updated on industry advancements to enhance control tower capabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including shipping documents, invoices, and compliance-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
Who can apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus
